3.2 Oil Purifiers
OilPure Oil Purifier is the Off-Line (By-Pass) Oil Purification that keeps the lubricating oil in the machine clean and meet the Oil Cleanliness Requirement. It is mostly the Oil Dialysis or Oil Flushing which dirty oil can be clean while the machine is running without draining dirty oil out for cleaning or recycle. Oil Purifier is cleaning oil while machine is running. The oil contamination will slow remove from oil and inside of the machine plumbing. This Oil Dialysis is not only clean the oil, but also cleaning the contamination inside the machine which can not be drained out if changing new oil. Typical OEM lubrication design will allow about 20% of oil left in the machine after oil is drained out.
Oil Recycling Machine is the oil purification that can clean, not only dirty the oil in the machine while running as Oil Dialysis (Continuous), but also Clean oil as Batch-to-Batch for Reuse, dirty oil recovering from the floor, storage tanks, 55 gallon drums, Tote tank, or dirty oil that is not in the machine. The Oil Recycling Machine usually will have all necessary equipment to remove all type of contamination as well as Built-in Oil Monitoring System. They can be a small or large unit.
There are two type of this Oil Purifier:
- Portable Oil Purifier – can be rotated from machine to machine to clean each machine oil reservoir on the time basis. Oil Dialysis Time on each machine can be calculated from Oil Purifier Flow Rate and oil reservoir size. Typical Good Oil Dialysis is Five Passes of oil cleaning which is based on OilPure past experiences and statistical oil data. Typical new hydraulic oil in the machine will take 6 weeks to start to get dirty and need to be clean before emerging contamination ruins the internal components. - AST-25 Machine is a combination of VJ-50 + MB-25 + MS1 unit. Recycling capability of 50-100 gallons per day.
- AST-50 Machine is a combination of VJ-100 + FC-1 + MB-50 + MS1 + OS1 MS1 + WebMI Remote Control + Mini SCADA Unit. Recycling capability of 200-300 gallons per day.
- AST-50C Machine is a combination of TC-8 + VJ-100 + FC-1 + MB-50 + MS1 + OS1 + WebMI Remote Control + Mini SCADA Unit. Recycling capability of 150-250 gallons per day.
MB-50 Oil Purifier
MB-50 uses PurePack to remove particulate & oxidation.
- Remote alarm monitoring by sending alarm by e-mail and SMS test message directly from PLC to users.

MB-50 Oil Purifier
Flow Capacity = 30-50 gal per hour (110-190 liters per hour)
- Oil Dialysis good for oil reservoir size 500-1,000 gallons or 2,000-4,000 liters
- Example of Oil Dialysis Time 1,000 gallons:
- One pass = 1,000 gal ÷ 50 GPH = 20 hours
- Five passes = 20 hours x 5 = 100 hrs or 4 days
- 4.8 KW Immersion heater with digital temperature control and built-in thermostat high temperature mechanical alarm shut down.
- Variable Speed Drive Control pump motor with analog signal for motor soft start long life and automatic oil pressure control.

- PurePack oil dialysis and vacuum Jet dehydration time can be set according to excessive water content and particulate oil contamination.
- There are two built in oil tanks; a 30 gal (120 liters) Dehydration Tank for Vacuum jet Dehydration and a 30 gal (120 liters) Purified Oil Tank.
- Both continuous and batch-to-batch oil purification can be programmed to fit various degree of oil contamination for full automatic operation.

VJ-100 Vacuum Jet Dehydration
Flow Capacity = 9 GPM Dehydrating flow rate with 22 GPM pump capacity.
- Capacity: 15 GPH per hour to remove 1% of water in oil.
- Oil Dialysis good for oil reservoir size 500-1,500 gallons or 2,000-6,000 liters
- Example of Oil Dialysis Time:
- 1,000 gal (4,000 liters) @ 1% Water = 1,000÷ 15 GPH
- = 66.6 hours x 3 passes = 200 hrs = 8 days
- Remove approximately 1/4 to 1/2 quart (500 cc) of dissolved water per hour. Water dehydration can be continuous or batch mode for more effective water removal.
- MS1 Moisture Sensor automatically controls water dehydrating time. The dehydrated discharge oil from VJ-100 will contain less than 100 ppm of water.
- Internal water dehydrating tank batch size is 50 gallons in the VJ-100 unit.
- Water starts to dehydrate at low oil temperature from 140 °F to 160 °F (60 °C to 71°C).
- Digital temperature control with high temperature alarm.

Flow Capacity = 7 GPM Dehydrating flow rate with 22 GPM pump capacity.

- Oil Dialysis good for oil reservoir size 400-500 gallons or 1,600-2,000 liters
- Example of Oil Dialysis Time:
- 500 gal (2,000 liters) @ 1% Water = 500÷ 12 GPH
- = 41.6 hours x 3 passes = 125 hrs = 5 days
- Remove approximately 1/4 to 1/2 quart (400 cc) of dissolved water per hour. Water dehydration can be continuous or batch mode for more effective water removal.
- MS1 Moisture Sensor automatically controls water dehydrating time. The dehydrated discharge oil from VJ-50 will contain less than 100 ppm of water.

- Dedicated Oil Purifier – is the oil purifier that is stationary next to the machine and provide continuous oil cleaning 24/7 – 365 days Non Stop to keep the oil clean at all time. Typical dedicated oil purifier can provide a 1-4 weeks of Total Oil Contamination Turnover from the oil reservoir. This is the best way keep the oil free of contamination or is equivalent to changing new oil in every 1-4 weeks. The continuous clean oil will prevent the oil to affect by Physical Changes and Chemical Changes during the lubrication process so lubrication performs at its best lubricity in the machine at all time. These dedicated oil purifiers are SS-50, VJ-25, MB-150, AST-200, AST-300.
